Case-Study : FLOOD WARNING
Until recently, the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead had no central flood warning system and relied upon operators calling various remote stations by telephone if they suspected a flood risk, whereupon a robotic voice would report on the status of the water level. Now with systems installed by Alphr Telemetry water levels are constantly monitored and information automatically transmitted to a central control room within the Borough.
Alphr's ultra-reliable Landmark product is the hub of the system. The Landmark outstations consist of radio transmitters with antenna, solar panels transmitting to a receiver unit hooked up to a standard desktop PC.
The PC is running Alphr's own Scada software which provides all the necessary data to monitor watercourses, underpasses, roads and so on to help keep them protected from inundation, or adverse rainfall.

"The Borough were so pleased with the initial system, with the advice and value for money that we received from Alphr Telemetry that we commissioned them to install alarm systems in all of our underpasses. " said George Wells - Land Drainage Engineer for the Royal Borough.
