RS232 Data Transciever These modules will provide a transparent two-way RS232 radio link. Whatever data is presented at the transmitter input is automatically sent to the receiver where it is output in identical form. This makes the se units ideal for PLC to PLC communication where all the communications protocols, timeouts, retries etc. are handled by the PLC's themselves. Since the modems are transparent, they can accommodate any protocol which the user wishes to employ. For example: Modbus, JBus, DF1, Bi-Sync etc. |

'Real-World' signals are present at one end of the link, but a PC or PLC system
is required at the other end, the Protocol Converter allows use of the landmark
or MQ telemetry systems. As the data is received, the Protocol Converter will store the data, then output it in any industry standard protocol required by the PC or PLC. Examples of protocols previously handled in this way are :Modbus, JBus, DF1, Bi-Sync. |
