| The Tay Waste Water
project is on the the most ambitious ever undertaken in Scotland and will bring
massive environmental improvements to the Tay Estuary and surrounding area.

| The
current sewerage system of multiple outfalls into the Tay Estuary between
Invergowrie and Arbroath has been replaced with a single outfall which
discharges treated waste water far out to sea. This required a highly
sophisticated telemetry system. Alphr Telemetry developed and engineered a solution comprising a network of 13 telemetry outstations along the coast of Scotland. This facilitates system control and monitoring, incorporating the new state-of-the-art treatment plant at Hatton near Carnoustie. | |
